I've noticed that with very fast troops, they will sometimes turn toward a target, but not actually run toward it. For example, when I see a hog rider, and panic and place a tombstone 1 tile to the left of the tower (assume that this is the right arena tower) and 1 tile in front of the tower, then the hog will look at the tombstone but will go straight to the tower. This will cause me to think, "oh hog is dead, I'll send my push" all of a sudden, my tower lost 1000 health, my tombstone isn't dead. I've also seen this happen with other very fast troops as well, and I have no screenshots, if I did, idk how to post them, but I'm sure you have all experienced this.
