So on quite a few times I have clicked cancel battle, returns to home screen briefly only then to find myself in a battle match:

Cancel battle button should mean cancel battle not the above.

1) it is getting very irritating
2) you are unprepared for it/or might have the wrong deck up (as that is quite often the reason for cancelling a battle)
3) the opponent seems to have joined earlier, so seems to have the upper hand, presumably doing the flick through intro thing.
