General Endless friendly battle. (Help) my friend got stuck in it

My friend requested a friendly battle and when I accepted it, I didn't join into the battle. He did. Now it is going on endlessly and even if he logs out and in he is stuck. To everyone else it looks like a normal battle except that the time is over what it should be. Attached Images
