General Game not starting same time for both players

When matches start the other player get to deploy cards before my count down finish. Also when I drop cards there a pause of a few seconds before it get played causing me unable to defend and lose matches. My internet connection is fine as I can play other games and watch videos with no issues so it must be game related.
