General Hog Rider jumps over the river randomly

We all know that you can make a pig push by placeing your hog on the corner, then place a troop beneath it and the hog gets pushed to the side. Then he jumps over the river so he can bypass the regular building plants. Thats ok. But sometimes he jumps without placing another troop. It seems completely random when he does that. And he will keep doing that on that lane for the rest of the match. I don't think one player should have such an advantage he got randomly. In some situations that could change the whole match.
