iOS level 7 local save, Level 2 Gamecentre save. Out of luck?

Hello,
I have a level 7 game running on my Iphone. Invested about $60 or so.
I wanted to play on my Ipad, so loaded Clash Royale on that. Both devices were connected to gamecentre, but now, .... iphone wants to load the level 1 game. UGGGG...
with IOS9 i also noticed that creating a NEW gamecentre account is a pain.

Any advise?
