General Friendly Battle turns into a Random Match

One of my clanmates posted a friendly battle request, and I pressed the button to accept it. The orange button turned gray for a couple seconds, and I ended up getting matched with a random player for real trophies.

This is the second time this has happened to me, as well as other clanmates.
