Android Battle starts EARLY? Before I can act

I downloaded Clash Royale the day it went global and had been happily playing ever since. Over the last few days, though, I've experienced a weird glitch where the match will start before I can do anything. I'll hit the Battle button and the match will take the typical 2 seconds or less to find an opponent, yet somehow the match has already started? My elixer bar will be instantly full and the opponent is already attacking when "FIGHT!" is on the screen. Just now I started a match and a hog rider, goblin and spear goblins were taking out an entire tower the moment "FIGHT!" appeared!

Do NOT tell me this is an issue with my phone or internet connection, because that wouldn't even make sense. It's not like I'm sitting and waiting for a long time for it to load, it loaded up just as fast as a normal match. In order for my opponent to have a hog and two sets of goblins destroy a tower, he'd have to wait for the elixer to build, send the troops and wait even longer for the tower to go down. That does not happen in 2 seconds. My first thought was to say we got matched the moment I hit "Battle" and it took longer for mine to load than his, but that's still not even enough time.

This has happened to me at least 5 or 6 times and it's incredibly frustrating. Hard to tell but I almost think it has happened to my opponents too, because they will sometimes wait till I've practically destroyed a tower before they act. I'd try to record a video but since it happens so randomly, it's impossible to predict when it will happen.

Am I alone here?? I got demoted to Arena 4 because of this, of course when I had an open chest slot so my next chest isn't going to be as good as if I had won. If it keeps up, it's enough to make me quit the game altogether.
