Android Constant connection problems with Nexus 6 connected through Wi-Fi

I'm in the same room as my wireless router, signal shows completely full but I have frequent issues with 'No Reception' in the middle of battles.

Is there some setting I need to alter on my phone or router to help make my connection more stable? This is never an issue with Clash of Clans, its isolated to Clash Royale. I've tried closing the game entirely, restarting my phone, uninstalled/reinstalled the app...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
