iOS Did not receive my epic card

I recently used 60 gems to buy 1k gold so that I could buy the epic card(balloon) to upgrade it. However the first time I did it(I pressed buy card already) I was greeted with connection lost or relogin or something similar. As a result I reconnected and it was perfectly fine, my money was still there but the gem was used.

Fair enough, however the second time after buying the card, nothing happened, so I proceeded to upgrade it. I was immediately greeted with the same message however when I relogged this time, my gem and money was gone but my card was still 1/2.

Is it possible to get a refund or similar for this? I was connected to a perfectly fine wifi and 60 gems + 1000 hard earned gold is pretty difficult to grind up.
