iOS Having weird connection problems

So I've been having really weird connection problems lately, and that battle loss was the one that really got me. Was battling effortlessly, had 2 crowns and other guy had none. Then while on 4G, I was trying to place a troop and it wouldn't load anything, then all it kept loading was what the other guy was doing. So I lost my battle that I had in the bag (my deck of cards allows me to defend effortlessly with my strategy) and was pretty upset. Lost 30 trophies for Internet connection cutout that shouldn't have happened. Can anyone tell me what the possibilities are of why this happened? I mean I had 4G, 3 bars the entire time so...
