iOS Card Selection reset when Elixir/Mana boost starts

I ready myself to quick fingers tap an ultimate troop combo on my opponent right when the mana boost starts, my first card to place is selected. My fingers hit the screen in the pattern that should have won the game, but that first selected card just isn't there. A message of no card selected disappears along with my hopes of winning. With no barbs to tank and deal damage like the overpowered gods they are, all my support troops get brutally torn apart. The tears begin to flow and I scream continuously for three minutes. That's my experience, I wonder if any other people had the same thing happen to them and if so how long they cried, because I know they did.
