iOS Arena 4 with less than 1100 Trophies

Hi,
I don't know what's causing this but my brother had access to arena 4, which needs 1100 trophies to unlock, but his maximum trophies count is 1086.
How is that possible ?
He didn't get any chest while playing in this arena so we don't know if it would have been a level 3 or a level 4.

This is not annoying at all but still a bug right ?

if you play against someone who is currently in arena 4 the arena you play in is arena 4. He doesn't have to be in arena 4 for this to happen.
