General game sync against opponents - extreme latency

To summarize, this morning, my screen hadn't even loaded yet, and was just fading in from Player 1 vs Player 2.
My opponent already had a knight and goblin barrel in the air across the river, and my cards hadn't even loaded yet!!!

I noticed too that sometimes I will just go on a crazy winning streak, but then other times it seems I can put down 10 elixer worth of cards while someone else put down 14-15 without the aide of a elixer collector

Has anyone else noticed this?
