General Musketeer walks away from balloon after zap.

I was in a match where another user laid a giant and then a balloon. I waited and laid my musketeer behind the balloon so I could target the balloon. The musketeer was targeting the balloon and then I zapped the balloon. The musketeer then walked away from the balloon leaving it with half its health. This happened on 2 different occasions. Is this something that can be fixed? I can post a replay if it's needed.
