I have seen claims on both sides that this can be caused by the opponent using a lag switch or poor connection but this is just insane and something needs to be done to address it. I play on both Wi-Fi and Lte, never have the Wi-Fi signal apprear yet my troop deployment is delayed often for several seconds while my opponent continues to drop cards as normal.

My arena 9 account I run into it sometimes as often as every 2 or 3 opponents and there is no way to win when you are sitting there for troops to deploy and your opponent has already taken out your tower by the time they do. I play on both an Andoid and iPhone and it happens on both so I can rule out my system.

The funny thing is I can play on my account that's in arena 5 with no problem then switch to my arena 9 account and experience the lag again.
