Anyone getting the dreaded red lag signal icons after the update?

Some symptoms include:
- On loading the game you get the red lag icons and things take a while before they are all loaded i.e. the chat window, number of people on indicator, clan shield
- Red lag signal icons appearing even on front menus and while searching for battles
- When deploying troops there is a slight delay before they are actually deployed

I never had these issues until the update? It could also be iOS 10?
