Android Connection frequently lost on older samsung tablet

Model number is GT-N5110. I believe this was called the galaxy Note 8.0. It plays clash of clans just fine. All of my other devices play clash royale just fine using the same wifi connection at the same time. However this tablet will get the red wifi logo as if it lost connection frequently, up to once per minute. It is impossible to play. If I force close the app once this has happened and quickly relaunch it, the game comes back into the same battle that I was playing. However, it is impossible to win with so much time lost. Anyone else having this problem with their device or is it just this model?
