Hi and welcome to the forum.

There were few reports about the aspect ratio of few new devices including galaxy s8 and s8+. I'm sure devs are aware about it but I personally don't have any inside information about a fix for this issue. All I know is that the next update will be in October and hopefully there will be a fix about it in October update.
