Android High elixir troop drops result in Lag

I thought this was an issue with my internet connection at first.
But over the past few weeks, I've observed that opponents dropping the Giant Skeleton result in a 1-2 second game lag.
This happens for other troops like PEKKA too, but doesn't happen for the Golem or 3 Musketeers.

I don't know what causes this, but I have lost games due to it.
(Game lagged for 6 seconds once and the Giant Skeleton was at my tower before I could react).

Could you look into this or tell me what's causing this? I'm pretty sure it's not my internet connection.
