Android Game freezes shortly during tournaments [video]

My phone:
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - Latest android updates applied - Not rooted

The issue:
Whenever I play tournament games, my screen shortly freezes during the in-game match announcements such as:
"60 Seconds Left" or "Sudden Death".

The game lags for about 0.3 to 1 second and after the lag, during the thereon following seconds, the game catches up by fast forwarding shortly.

There are several problems because of this:

* I can't see if my opponent has dropped anything just before the lag, even though the dropped card does continue it's preparing time on the field, surprising me with a fully ready card.
* I can't defend, because the game freezes (yes, those 0.8 seconds are often what makes or breaks a match)

The problem is not internet-connection-related, because on both 4G mobile network and 120mbit home WiFi (full signal), the issue persists.

There are no unnecessary apps running that eat up RAM and I have plenty of storage space, so I can't imagine it being a cache issue either.

Not every match lags equally:
3/10 matches lag only sometimes
5/10 matches lag unplayable aka. the reason of a loss
2/10 matches don't have lag

What to look for in the video + explanation:
Take notice of the Miner being deployed at the bottom right.
I strategically waited until 1 second before the "60 Seconds Left" message to deploy my goblins.
As you can see, they are clearly deployed BEFORE the message. Because of the lag spike however, they are not actually being deployed until after the game unfreezes.

TL;DR: Game lags during tournament games, please fix.
