iOS Keyboard stuck on screen after connection loss

I was typing a message in clan chat when I lost my data connection. The game put up a dialog asking me to reconnect. When I clicked 'retry' the game reloaded from the splash screen but the keyboard was over the game. I could not find any way to dismiss the keyboard including pressing the keyboard dismiss button. I had to force quit the game.
