So when you go to fight in training camp and exit the training camp midway by leaving the match (pressing the x button on the left bottom corner), your free chest countdown will not count. For illustration, when your free chest will open in 1 hour 4 minutes, then you go to play in training camp for let's just say 2 minute then go back to your chest screen by exiting your match, your free chest will still say 1 hour 4 minutes (not going down). But, if you finish your match (pressing the "OK" button when the match over) there is no problem with the timer (timer will go down normally).

note: I don't really pay attention to another timer beside free chest (crown chest, unlocking progress, request timer etc)
