Fairly simple. Halfway through a battle (which I was totally gonna win, by the way), the no-connection red icon began appearing. I was streaming a podcast at the same time, so I know that there was nothing wrong with wifi. I checked after the battle, and there were no connectivity issues.

I have also experienced this same problem on LTE data.
