iOS Random Disconnects

I have been experiencing being disconnected from gameplay randomly quite frequently over the last few weeks. After contacting in game support, they pointed it back to my internet connection, which initially I didn't rule out. I've emulated the game to my mac and monitored internet traffic on both Wifi & a 4G connection. What I am seeing is on a 4G connection, the sever pings your "tablet" much less frequently than when you are on Wifi. Outgoing pings from my tablet/mac emulator are consistent and pinging in a predictable fashion, but the returning pings from the SC servers are erratic, specifically when the game begins to lag or "disconnect" displaying the retched wireless signal in the middle screen. This leads me to believe that the SC servers are having a hard time keeping up with the rapid ping rate of a wifi / cable connection and is able to keep up with the 4G's connection ping frequency without issue. From this point, I still didn't rule out abnormalities with my own wifi connection - so I brought my computer to work which has a Dual OC3 dedicated server with the most stable internet connection I've come to know. (finance company) Not to my surprise, the same issues persisted from the SC server side with ping consistencies, even on a dedicated server with higher bandwidth capabilities than my home internet.

I've read that many players are experiencing these random disconnects, degrading the way they feel about the game in general and the monies spent. The other common pattern I'm seeing is people playing on 4G/3G connections don't experience the issue that wifi users are. I believe the research I've done from both the client side and SC server side explains that SC Servers may be overburdened and the much faster / higher ping rate of a wifi connection catches the SC server bogging down at times and ping rates fall out of sync, disconnecting you from gameplay.

Push it back on your client's "internet connection" if you want, but anyone with an advanced understanding of this knows that it's either SC's servers being overburden or an underlying issue with the games code that trips up the communication between a faster internet speeds / higher ping rates.

I apologize for the long winded rant, but I'm here to gather others who are experiencing this same problem on WIFI connections. If you typically use 4G connections, I'd also like to hear if you experiencing these disconnection problems to further my understanding of the problem in hand.
