Android Arena advancement issue

I ran into an issue earlier today where I advanced from Arena 4 to Arena 5 and even won a match at that level. I then stopped playing until I had an open chest slot. When I came back 2.5 hours later I again advanced to Arena 5 after winning the first game I entered. My max trophies were listed as my current amount at that time even though I had won more 2 hours earlier. Has anyone else noticed this issue???
