Archers are a fairly solid unit for the elixir cost. They can be countered with a fireball if your timing & lag (or lack of lag) is good.
Fireball will leave you 1 elixir negative trade. If you can hit some other troops and the tower it might be worth the trade, if there not just baiting the fireball out.
As there is two of them you can use the splash damage from a wizard, ice wizard, baby dragon or even spear goblins to take them out.
