Android 3 Musketeers not splitting

Hi, I've been using 3 musketeers in my ladder deck for some months now but for the last day or so have been having a problem of them not splitting when placed on the central tiles. Previously I've been able to place 3 musks behind, or in front of my king tower in a central position, and 1 goes 1 way and the other 2 to the other lane. The pair often get fireballed so I push on the other lane with the single musk. But now more often than not, all 3 go down the same lane leaving all 3 in a group and susceptible to whatever counter (fireball etc.), and leaving me with no possibility of a counter having wasted 9 elixir! Is there something that has been changed that could have caused this? Has anyone else reported this problem?

Just tried against clan mates in friendlies and seems to work fine, but not against trainer or in ladder
