Unreliable and irritating notifications

Greetings Clashers,

I know this is not a huge game breaking bug, however it is annoying, and thought it should warrant a post.

Basically I am playing on a Android Galaxy S6. The notifications from the game are nonstop, meaning multiple time an hour I get alerts telling me there are new specials in the store when there are none, I have a new free chest to open when I do not, and that I have card requests when I do not.

At first I suspected the alerts to just be delayed after I already performed an action like opening chest or requesting a card, and that maybe they are just on a timer. However, that does not seem to be the case, because after I dismiss the notifications, they keep coming.

I know we can disable notifications in Android; however I would like to still receive the alerts when I need to attend to something. The problem is that the notifications in their current state are unreliable and quite exasperating when my phone buzzes throughout the night.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior, have a workaround, or otherwise?
