I got a serious bug from my opponents inferno tower.
The inferno tower locked onto my wizard across the river. the wizard walks behind my giant who is dropped at the bridge.
The wizard leaves the range of the inferno tower, but the giant is within range.
The giant then (on full health) gets hit with the inferno tower and dies within one second.
The built up damage from the wizard was transferred to the giant instead of slowly building up damage.

The replay shows exactly what happened.
Clan: Whirlpool.
