Android Constant Connection Issues with Working Internet

I've been playing Clash Royale for weeks now without any problems, but recently every time I launch it I get that wifi symbol flashing indicating that I am having connection issues, even though my internet is working perfectly fine. This happens on different wifi networks as well as with my regular cellular network.

I am unable to do anything: cannot battle, open chests, chat, request/donate, the game is completely unplayable.

Anyone else experience this?
