iOS Disconnects - Not sure if Bug or Hack...

In the middle of battle, typically after I've taken down at least 1 tower, I get the red disconnect icon. The battle continues, not affecting my opponent at all, and I have full wifi bars and all other apps work just fine. I'd imagine if I were truly disconnected, I wouldn't be able to see my opponent continue attacking. If I go back and watch the battle, it never says "Opponent Left the Match." I play mostly on my home wireless connection, though it happens on LTE and 4G, as well. Sometimes it happens many battles in a row, sometimes it happens every few battles. I'm not sure if this is a bug in the game or a hack that cheaters are using....I'm leaning towards the latter, seeing as it typically happens when I'm winning and then the opponents tend to laugh and laugh once I get disconnected. I lose hundreds of trophies at a time when this happens...it's making me hate playing...
